Thanksgiving 2009 and the Second International All Japan and America World Wide Thanksgiving Apple Pie Competition 2009
It is that time of the year again, Thanksgiving, the best damn holiday there is, and with Thanksgiving comes the Second International All Japan and America World Wide Thanksgiving Apple Pie Competition 2009 in which case I am sure I will win again.
This year I was celebrating back in the U.S. for the first time in four years and it was nice to see that Hugh was around, a rare treat, considering the guy's work has him traveling all over the globe fixing wind-mills and power plants. So what do we do with a friend we haven't seen for a few years? Well put him work obviously...
We had some delicious food in the works, as always.
We had two entries into the SIAJAWWTAPC 2009, both of which were apple and both of which clearly superior to Ryan's sorry excuse for food.
Ryan's Pumpkin Pie: God that thing looks sad and poisonous.
This year Ryan clearly demonstrated unprecedented levels of fear and terror because it is clear he was completely convinced even before the competition began that it would be impossible for him to create a pie of competitive quality. So to avoid global international embarrassment he submitted a pumpkin pie to the SIAJAWWT - APPLE Pie Competition 2009. Better luck next year to you Mr. Spring.
And last but not least, we had a bunch of “guests” and they all pitched in to make Thanksgiving 2009 all come together and work, for a fine evening of wonderful meals. I quote guests, because usually guests should be treated differently from family but oddly enough at our house even during the first visit could have you preparing food, chairs, setting the table or any other wide variety of miscellaneous tasks one should complete before the "guests" arrive.
Until next year folks!
